Following the initial opening in September, Eagle Ridge invited the public to an open house in early October. Marketing Coordinator, Jane Staebler, said the open house was very successful; the event saw great attendance from the community and from the area surrounding Guttenberg. “People were genuinely interested in learning about how this assisted living could be a future living option as well as learning about the services offered,” says Staebler of the open house.
After making the decision to move to Eagle Ridge, tenants are presented with many choices, the first of which being the location and size of their apartment. Apartments range in size from 493 square feet to 1,082 square feet and include a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen with appliances. Tenants can also choose between a ground level apartment with a patio or an upper level apartment with a deck. Residents can choose a furnished apartment or to bring their own furniture, and each tenant gets their own storage unit in the building. Eagle Ridge can assist with moving personal belongings at no cost. The building includes laundry facilities, a beauty and barber salon, a whirlpool spa, living rooms, and a dining room overlooking the river. Family and friends can rent a furnished guest suite for an overnight visit, and an activity room can be reserved for family gatherings.
Eagle Ridge is anything but one size fits all. Staff assist new tenants in establishing service plans. Three levels of service provide many options for those considering moving into Eagle Ridge, and tenants only pay for what they need. All three levels include breakfast and lunch, assurance checks, call pendants, weekly laundering of bed linens and towels, and light housekeeping. Additional options include laundry service, having medication set up and given, bathing assistance, and dressing assistance. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy services are available on site. Eagle Ridge is flexible, offering permanent or short term living, for instance, after a hospital stay, or for the winter. Contact Eagle Ridge Independent and Assisted Living to take advantage of a winter special. Tenants can bring a car, but if for some reason they do not wish to drive, they also have access to transportation service to get downtown. By making the choice to move to Eagle Ridge Independent and Assisted Living, residents can have a greater quality of life through available services and socialization.
Eagle Ridge was built with 18 units to reflect predicted future demand. Studies determined this area’s need and market affordability, so don’t worry that you can’t afford to live at Eagle Ridge. So far, Eagle Ridge’s tenants are loving their new home. Residents enjoy magnificent views of the river and wildlife. The prominent view of Guttenberg allows tenants to continue to feel connected to their community. The building is connected to the Guttenberg Care Center, so residents can easily visit loved ones next door. A ground level apartment’s patio allows one resident easy access to the outdoors for his dog. “Residents love the activities offered here and at the Care Center - so many people would thrive here,” says Staebler.
